My love for food and cooking is deeply rooted in my upbringing. Despite our financial struggles, our home was filled with love, creativity, and delicious food. We had a large garden, raised rabbits, and our dogs always had puppies running around. This self-sufficient lifestyle taught me the value of hard work and the joy of nurturing and growing our own food.

Cooking was a family affair. My parents and grandparents were exceptional cooks, with Grandma’s roasts and hearty breakfasts being legendary. Some of my fondest memories are of sneaking into the kitchen in the middle of the night to find my dad baking cinnamon rolls. The heavenly aroma of cinnamon still lingers in my memory.

These experiences shaped my passion for cooking and sharing food with others. Every meal I prepare is a tribute to my family’s resilience, creativity, and love.
